We're done but we're not finished.

We may be riding off into the sunset for this year, but the TIGERS are just getting started for next year.

As we find our way home with many exciting memories and experiences, we look forward to next season, and many more great moments to come. We'll see you all when we get home. We have so many stories to tell.

Coach McKee got dunked in the pool.

But Coach Guida was able to hold off the hoard of TIGER players looking to dunk him too.
There's still 2 days left in New Mexico Coach...........beware.

Tigers defeated in another 1 run game.

The TIGERS lost a heart-breaker today against the Albuquerque Dukes 10-9 in a back and forth thriller at Volcano Vista High School here in New Mexico. The game went into extra innings, finally ending in the bottom of the ninth on some tough calls. It was a hard fought battle by both teams.

This effectively knocked the TIGERS out of the tournament after some very close games that could have went their way in each loss.

The TIGERS will now spend their remaining time in New Mexico relaxing and enjoying the many ammenities the area has to offer.

First workout in New Mexico

Coach Guida called the first practice in New Mexico today. The New Jersey Champion TIGERS checking their equipment at the hotel just before leaving for the first practice.
Coach Guida delivering the old "SPIT" ball during batting practice.

After some mis-communication about using Rio Grande High School for practice. Which resulted in some exotic bug bites. An area to practice was found at Cibola High School, just a little down the road from the Inn at Rio Rancho.

All in all practice went well as the TIGERS look forward to their first game on Monday Morning.

The banquet is tonight. More on that later.

We made it safe & sound.

Everyone is all present and accounted for. There were a few adventures in transit, but everyone is here in one piece none the worse for wear. We hit the breakfast bar this morning and everyone was as awake as they could be after a busy travel day yesterday. Below is a table at breakfast.

Saturday, July 25, 2009

Off we go into the wild blue yonder.

We're OFF.

Everyone has their flights booked and we're going to meet in New Mexico.

Good luck everyone, and have a safe trip.

Remember, when you get there, don't take that
LEFT TOYN in ALBA-COY-KEE like Bugs did.

We appreciate all of the support at home and we thank everyone who helped us get here.

Radio coverage of the World Series

The World Series website says that some of the games may be carried on a local radio station. It doesn't specify which one. I found a list of radio stations in the area and links to their web pages where they may have live simulcasts should we happen to draw a game with radio coverage. Here's the link:
