Michael Stanczak hit a two-out, two-RBI bases loaded single to right center in the third to give South Plainfield (5-3) a 3-0 lead. Dylan O'Connor, Nick Plate and Jared Marks each had base hits. Billy Keane improved to 2-0 after he allowed three hits and struck out four in five innings of work
