Luke Bickunas hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth with the bases loaded that scored Frankie Flannery, who led off the inning with a bunt single.
The host Tigers improved to 6-3 after the nonconference win.
Jack Massett went seven innings, scattering seven hits with nine strikeouts.
South Plainfield’s first basemen Ashton Donovan tied the game in the bottom of the sixth with a solo home run. Donovan threw the final two innings in relief to earn his second win of the season.
The One Man Wrecking Crew was called to the site today,
He did some necessary DEMO (sounded like a bomb went off)
in the 6th to even things out. He put in 2 hours of overtime
& cleaned up after our top hauler, Jack, who went 7 strong
and picked up a dub.

Jack is a true sportsman- not only did he help himself to 3rds,
he dealt 7 strong, whiffed 9 and provided much of the energy
his crew needed to carry the day.
