SOUTH PLAINFIELD 4, HOLMDEL 2:

First baseman Danny Hansen went 1-for-2 with two RBIs, and catcher Stephen Petriello went 2-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI for South Plainfield (3-0).

Right-hander Tommy Bowden threw four innings and allowed one run on two hits with a walk and three strikeouts for the victory. Lefty A.J. Celantano picked up the save with two innings of one-hit and one-run ball.
