Senior right-hander Mitch Dudak earned his second win of the season by allowing one run and two hits and striking out five in the nonconference game.
Ashton Donovan pitched a scoreless sixth and Vin Esposito threw a scoreless seventh to close out the game.
Right fielder Austin Scott, who recently came back from the wrestling season, went 3-for-3 (3B, 2B) with an RBI and two runs scored. Catcher Luke Bickunas went 2-3 with a double and his courtesy runner, Ty Ducoff, scored twice.
Third baseman Frank Flannery singled home Scott in the fourth to give the Tigers (4-1) a 2-0 lead, which turned out to be the winning run.
South Plainfield added four runs in the bottom of the fourth to open the lead.
Kennedy Ferguson and Francis Flannery each had a hit and RBI in the win.
