Winning pitcher Harry Rutkowksi went the distance, fanning nine and allowing one earned run over seven innings to help the Barrons (14-3) snap a three-game losing streak.
With the victory, Woodbridge improved to 8-3 in the White Division and can claim the division title with a win over last-place North Brunswick in its division finale.
Rutkowski helped his own cause, going 2-for-3 with his state-leading eighth home run of the season, a blast estimated at 450-feet that sailed into the trees beyond the left-field fence.
Justin Silva went 1-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI for Woodbridge, while teammate Carlos Marte also singled and scored a run.
Connor Adams had a single and an RBI for South Plainfield (11-6). Rob Gonzalez doubled and scored for the Tigers.
Losing pitcher Billy Keane allowed four earned runs on seven hits. He fanned four and walked two.
