Watchung Hills 7, South Plainfield 6 (8 innings): Watchung Hills came back from a 5-0 deficit in the fifth inning to prevail in eight innings. Jake Keirstead brought home the go-ahead run with a single in the top of the eighth scoring Stef DiGeronimo.
Max Payne was 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Warriors (10-6) and Keirstead finished 2-for-5 on the day with two RBIs. Max Eder went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored, Chris Dorsi was 2-for-4 (2 runs, double, RBI) and freshman Lucas Sheehan pitched a scoreless eighth to earn the save.
McCarthy went 2-for-2 with a run scored and two RBIs for South Plainfield (12-8).
