AJ Celentano struck out four and walked two in a five-hit shutout to lead second seed South Plainfield to a 3-0 victory against 11th seed Iselin Kennedy in the semifinals of the North Jersey, Section 2, Group 3 tournament in South Plainfield.
Taylor Born went 3-for-3 with a double and two runs for South Plainfield, which will play top seed Cranford in the sectional final. Nick Muglia finished 2-for-2 with two RBI, and Quinn Cochrane drove in one run.
