Chris Shine pitched a two-hitter with one walk and 14 strikeouts to help South Plainfield earn a 6-0 victory over Montgomery in Skillman.

Michael Marrero hit a home run to go 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI, while Brody Donovan went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Jordan Hamberg went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI, while Dominic Faustini had an RBI for South Plainfield.

Ryan McKenna and Sam Noles each had a hit apiece for Montgomery.

Senior righthander Chris Shine hurled his third complete-game, striking out 14 and scattering two hits in a nonconference win.
 
The Seton Hall University signee has now fanned a conference-leading 41 batters in 26 and two thirds innings.
 
Batterymate Brody Donovan singled, doubled and plated two runs. Michael Marrero went 2-for-4 with a homer, a double, two RBI and two runs scored.
 
South Plainfield rallied for three runs in the first and tacked two more runs on in the second. The Tigers closed out the scoring with a single run in the third.
 
Rob Gonzalez went 2-for-3 with a run scored for South Plainfield, which has won four in a row.
 
The Tigers had nine hits and benefited from five walks. They stranded eight runners.
