Jordan Hamberg threw a four-hitter with 13 strikeouts, one walk and two earned runs to lead South Plainfield to a 9-3 win over Sayreville in Parlin.

South Plainfield rallied for six runs in the fourth inning.

Hamberg also went 3-for-4 with two RBI. Chris Born and Brody Donovan also drove in two runs each.

Christian Aich struck out six and walked three in 3 1/3 innings for Sayreville.

Jordan Hamberg used his bat and his arm to help the Tigers (7-4) complete a series sweep of the Bombers (6-6), who have lost three in a row.
 
South Plainfield (7-4) now has a two-game lead in the win column over Edison and St. Joseph in the White Division standings.
 
Hamberg went the distance, fanning 13, walking one and allowing four hits. Only two of the runs off him were earned. He helped his own cause, going 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI.
 
South Plainfield rallied for six runs in the fourth inning to erase a 2-0 deficit. The Tigers added three insurance runs in the seventh.
 
Batterymate Brody Donovan went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Rob Gonzalez singled, doubled and scored twice for South Plainfield. Teammate Chris Born had a single, a run scored and two RBI. TJ Massaro contributed a double to the victory.
 
Ethan Calcano and Dylan McTonic delivered RBI for Sayreville, which received singles from four different starters.
 
Three Sayreville hurlers combined to yield 12 hits and four walks.
