SOUTH PLAINFIELD 12, J.F. KENNEDY 1 (6 inn.): Stephen Petriello went 2-for-4 with a double, homer and three RBI. Winning pitcher A.J. Celentano (2-for-3 with two RBI and a run) went the distance. He fanned four, scattered three hits and walked none. Taylor Born (2-for-3) had a run and an RBI.
The Tigers (7-5) won their fifth straight. They scored five unearned runs in the second to build a 7-1 lead. Eric Giordano had an RBI single for the Mustangs (7-5).
