SOUTH PLAINFIELD 8, PERTH AMBOY 4: Junior outfielder Quinn Cochrane blasted a three-run home run in the first inning to get the ball rolling for the Tigers (2-3). Sal Esposito was 3-for-4 with two RBI and Mark Tomei had two triples for South Plainfield. Tilson Brito was 2-for-4, including a two-run shot in the sixth for the Panthers (3-2), and teammate Fernando Rosa added a solo home run.
