South Plainfield 7, J.F. Kennedy 5: LJ Scarpitto went 3-for-3 with two runs and an RBI for the Tigers, while teammate Jack Gillis went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored.
The Mustangs (6-13) rallied for five runs in the seventh off winning pitcher Vince Pellegrino, who fanned four and walked none while scattering nine hits in a route-going effort.
Ariel Tejada went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI for J.F. Kennedy, while teammates Mike Matusz and Sam Stolz each had a single and an RBI.

L.J. Scarpitto went 3-for-3 and scored two runs for South Plainfield as it held off a late rally by Iselin Kennedy to take a 7-5 win in South Plainfield.
Jack Gillis added two hits and two runs while Vincent Pellegrino pitched a complete game, allowing four earned runs, for South Plainfield.
Thomas Sharfetz collected two hits for Iselin Kennedy, which scored all five of its runs in the top of the seventh, and Ariel Tejeda had a double and drove in two runs.
