Kyle Dickerson and L.J. Scarpitto each scored a pair of runs and Chris Graves drove in two as unranked South Plainfield stunned St. Peter's Prep, No. 5 in the NJ.com Top 20, 4-0, in South Plainfield.
Nick Polizzano tripled and also drove in a run for South Plainfield, which opened with two runs in the first inning. The lead was enough for Jean Sapini, who tossed seven shutout innings, allowing four hits and four walks while striking out seven.
Colin Powers was 2-for-3 for St. Peter's Prep.
