George Leichtling drove in two and Tyler O'Brien scored twice as Scotch Plains-Fanwood edged South Plainfield, 5-4, in Scotch Plains.

Jake Canavan was 2-for-3 with a double and a run and Jack Defouw and Marc Occhipinti each drove in runs for Scotch Plains, which took the lead with two runs in the bottom of the sixth. Nick Stone allowed three runs (two earned) in 4 2/3 innings pitched before being relieved by Defouw, who pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings to pick up his fifth win of the season.

Nick Polizzano was 2-for-3 with two runs and Dylan O'Connor and Kyle Bythell each had RBI for South Plainfield.
