Mark Tomei went 2-for-4 with an RBI single and solo home run and Ryan Hutchinsion went 3-for-4 with an RBI and scored twice to power South Plainfield (6-5) in South Plainfield. Tommy Bowden (1-3) scattered seven hits over six innings to earn the victory while Brandon Downes poked a solo home run in the first. Colonia (4-7) took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first on a two-run homer by Andrew Neich.

SOUTH PLAINFIELD 10, COLONIA 5:

 Mark Tomei collected two hits, two RBI and two runs for the Tigers (6-5), who bounced back from Monday's 5-0 loss to Westfield.

Dan Hansen doubled and scored to highlight South Plainfield's six-run rally in the second. Winning pitcher Tom Bowden struck out three and scattered seven hits.

Andrew Niech went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and an RBI single. Tomei and teammate Brandon Downes each hit solo homers.
