Montgomery (4) at South Plainfield (2) - Baseball

Sam Capolongo got down a squeeze bunt in the top of the ninth inning to bring home the go-ahead run and lead Montgomery, No. 19 in The Star-Ledger Top 20, to an eventual 4-2 victory over South Plainfield in South Plainfield.
Zach DeVincenzo earned the victory for Montgomery, allowing two runs on five hits over eight innings with 10 strikeouts and a walk. Gerard Walker worked a scoreless ninth inning to register the save.
Mike Ippolito went 2-for-4 with two doubles and a run for Montgomery. DeVincenzo also had a double and run scored. Ben Verducci and Capolongo had RBI.
Justin Marks hit a two-run home run for South Plainfield. Rob Eggert and Marks scored runs.
