Chris Born collected a hit and three RBI to help the Tigers (9-7) extend their winning streak to five games.

Connor Adams went 2-for-4 for South Plainfield, while teammates Billy Keane, Rob Gonzalez and Ashwin deGroot each had a hit.

Victorious hurler Jose Hernandez scattered four hits and walked two over six innings. He threw an economical 75 pitches.

Gonzalez tossed a scoreless seventh with two strikeouts to preserve the shutout.

Paramus was outhit 6-5. The Tigers scored two runs in the fifth and two more in the sixth.

Chris Born hit a three-run single to lead South Plainfield to a 4-0 victory against Paramus in South Plainfield.

Ashwin DeGroot added a hit and two runs and Connor Adams chipped in two hits four South Plainfield. Jose Hernandez pitched a four-hit shutout over six innings.

Michael Stanczak went 2-for-4 with his second two-home run game of the season.
Stanczak's first blast tied the game in the fourth and his other round-tripper put the contest away in the seventh.
Chris Born’s RBI single, which plated a runner who reached on an error, enabled South Plainfield to take a 3-2 lead in the sixth.
Middlesex (13-2), which received an RBI from Jarrett May, had its winning streak snapped at 13 games.
Austin Feltham (four innings) and Brody Donovan (three frames) combined on an eight-hitter for the resurgent Tigers (8-7), who have won four straight. The duo combined to fan five and walk three while allowing one earned run.
Connor Adams went 3-for-4 for South Plainfield, while teammate Rob Gonzalez doubled twice. Ashwin deGroot doubled and scored two runs for the Tigers. Michael Marrero contributed a double and a run scored to the win.
Jared Venutolo and Ryan Vollmer each went 2-for-3 for the Blue Jays.

Michael Stanczak hit a three-run homer in the seventh inning and finished with two home runs and three RBI as South Plainfield earned a 6-2 win against Middlesex in Middlesex.

Connor Adams went 3-for-4, while Rob Gonzalez added two doubles for South Plainfield, which scored the final six runs of the game.

Michael Marrero, Chris Shine, Billy Keane and Ashwin deGroot scored one run apiece.

The Tigers won their third straight and completed a series sweep of the Chiefs, who scored five runs in the seventh inning to make the outcome interesting.
Piscataway was outhit 12-10 and benefited from five South Plainfield errors. The Tigers scored four runs in the first and three more runs in the third to build a 7-2 lead.
Connor Adams, Chris Shine and Ashwin DeGroot had two hits apiece for South Plainfield. Mike Stanczak, Billy Keane, Adams and Shine each had an RBI. Chris Born plated two runs. The Tigers stranded 10 runners.
Ro Morris and Jordan Brown each had two hits for the Chiefs. Six teammates had one hit apiece.

Ashwin deGroot and Chris Born scored two runs and had two hits each, while Born added two RBI as South Plainfield picked up a 10-7 win against Piscataway in South Plainfield.

Chris Shine and Connor Adams had two hits, one run and one RBI each for South Plainfield, which built a 4-0 lead after the first inning.

Jordan Brown and Roldan Morris both went 2-for-3 with two runs for Piscataway.

South Plainfield broke open a scoreless game in the top of the eighth inning with two outs. The Tigers (6-7 overall, 5-4 in GMC White) scored two runs on an error from a Mike Stanczak hard-hit ground ball.
 
South Plainfield added another run on an error and two insurance runs on a base hit from Ashwin DeGroot. In the bottom of the eighth, No. 7 Piscataway (7-4, 5-2) scored twice highlighted by a triple from Matt Peterson.
 
Both starters threw gems as Chris Shine earned the win by allowing two hits in seven innings with 10 strikeouts, three walks and one hit batter. Jayson Mahmood took the loss despite allowing no earned runs in 7 2/3 innings with eight strikeouts, four hits and two walks.

Chris Shine struck out 10 and walked three while conceding three hits and no runs in seven innings as South Plainfield took a 5-2 extra innings win over Piscataway in Piscataway.

The game went scoreless for seven innings. South Plainifield's offense sparked in the top of the eighth inning to score five runs.

Ashwin deGroot drove in three runs for the Tigers, while Rob Gonzalez went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Michael Marrero struck out one and conceded two hits in one inning of relief.

Jason Mahmood struck out eight while conceding four hits in seven innings on the mound for Piscataway.

Mike Stanczak hit two home runs and drove in seven runs to lead South Plainfield to a 19-16 win over Millburn in the Autism Awareness Challenge in North Brunswick.

Stanczak hit a three-run homer in the fifth inning, and then a three-run homer in the sixth. Chris Shine also hit two homers for the Tigers, while driving in five runs.

Millburn trailed 19-11 heading into the bottom of the seventh, and Peter Serruto hit a two-run homer to cut into the lead.

Ben Pampush drove in five runs for Millburn, while Ben Sinins hit a homer and tallied two RBI.

Chris Shine and Mike Stanczak each homered twice as the Tigers won a slugfest with the defending state Group IV champions.

The contest featured 37 hits. South Plainfield took a 19-7 lead into the sixth inning. Millburn rallied over the next two frames and had the tying run on deck when the final out was recorded.

Stanczak (3-for-4) hit a three-run homer in the fifth and added a three-run blast in the sixth. He finished with seven RBI. Shine went 3-for-4 with four runs scored and five RBI. Both players doubled.

Mike Marrero went 2-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBI for South Plainfield. Teammate Chris Born had two single.

The Tigers were outhit 21-16.

Ethan Calcano went 4-for-4 with a double, three RBI and three runs scored as the Bombers registered 16 hits in a mercy-rule win.
Seven Sayreville players recorded at least one hit apiece in support of winning pitcher Christian Aich, who scattered seven hits, allowed two runs (one earned) and walked one while striking out four over five innings.
Bryan Fernandez (one double) and Drew Zimmerman (two doubles) each went 3-for-4 with a combined seven RBI and a combined four runs scored. Kyle Richards and Anthony Gambardella each scored twice.
Dylan McTonic contributed a pair of doubles and three RBI to the win, while teammate Tom Ruck went 2-for-3 with a run scored.
Billy Keane went 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles for the Tigers (4-7), while teammates Mike Stanczak, Chris Shine, Mike Marrero and Rob Gonzalez had one hit apiece.
The Bombers rallied for seven runs in the third inning to build a 13-0 lead.
Sayreville’s offense appears to be feast or famine as the Bombers have outscored teams 34-4 in three of their victories – winning by an average of 11.3 runs per game – but also have two one-run wins (2-1 and 1-0) to their credit.
South Plainfield mercy-ruled the enigmatic Bombers 11-1 earlier this season.

Mike Stanczak went 3-for-4 with two RBI and three runs scored while finishing a triple shy of hitting for the cycle to help the Tigers (4-6) snap a three-game losing streak.
Winning pitcher Billy Keane went the distance, allowing five runs (four earned) on eight hits and one walk while fanning seven in a 106-pitch effort.
Keane helped his own cause, going 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Five teammates recorded one hit apiece including Mike Marrero and Chris Shine (two RBI), who each scored twice.
South Plainfield scored three times in the first and rallied for five more runs in the second to build an 8-0 lead.
Danny Reardon went 3-for-4 with two runs for North Brunswick (6-4), which had a three-game winning streak (including a 4-2 victory over South Plainfield) snapped.
Kelson Hopson belted a homer and plated three runs for the Raiders, while teammate Andrew Tan went 2-for-4 with a run scored.
Damian Ortiz singled and scored in a losing effort. The teams combined for 18 hits, seven errors and six walks.

The Raiders scored two runs on an infield error in the top of the seventh inning to snap a 2-2 tie and win their third straight.
 
After loading the bases on Dylan Glassman’s single and a pair of infield errors, Andrew Tan hit a groundball, on which the throw to the plate to force out the lead runner sailed over the catcher’s head, allowing two runs to cross.
Winning pitcher Danny Reardon went the distance. He did not allow an earned run, fanned eight, scattered five hits and walked two.
Caleb Rodriguez went 2-for-4 for North Brunswick, which benefitted from five errors. Christian Petrillo had a hit and scored a run for the Raiders (6-3), who have won four of their last five by a total of five runs.
South Plainfield scored both of its runs on an infield error in the second inning to take a 2-0 lead. North Brunswick scored single runs in the third and sixth innings to forge a tie.
Niko Vasquez went 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBI for the Tigers. Teammates Connor Adams and Rob Gonzalez each doubled.

Danny Reardon pitched a five-hitter with two walks and eight strikeouts, also going 1-for-4 to help North Brunswick earn a 4-2 victory over South Plainfield in South Plainfield.

Down 2-0 after the second inning, North Brunswick scored a run in the third, adding a run in the sixth to tie the game, 2-2. North Brunswick then scored two runs in the seventh to take a 4-2 lead.

Caleb Rodriguez went 2-for-4, while Andrew Tan had an RBI. Christian Petrillo went 1-for-4 with a run, while Dylan Glassman went 1-for-2 with two runs for North Brunswick.

Niko Vasquez went 2-for-3 with two RBI, while Michael Marrero and Connor Adams each went 1-for-4. Rob Gonzalez went 1-for-3, while Ryan Massett and TJ Massaro each scored a run for South Plainfield.

Kevin Kennedy hit a triple, knocked in two runs and scored two to lead West Morris to a 9-6 victory against South Plainfield in South Plainfield.

Nick Calabrese added two hits, two runs and an RBI, Anthony Grauso finished with two doubles, a run and an RBI and Aidan Healy chipped in two runs for West Morris.

Cooper Smith led South Plainfield with a hit, two runs and an RBI.

Marcus James tossed a three-hit shutout to lead South Brunswick to a 4-0 win over South Plainfield in Monmouth Junction.

Mike Reyes went 2-for-2 with an RBI for South Brunswick, which scored three runs in the fifth inning. Jacob Ciccone doubled and drove in a run, while Mike D'Amato singled and drove in a run in the win.

Chris Born, Mike Stanczak and Niko Vasquez each had a hit for South Plainfield.

The streaking Vikings, who have won three straight and four of their last five, plated three runs in the fifth inning to break a scoreless tie and Marcus James made the rally stand with a complete-game shutout.

James fanned nine, scattered three hits and walked one while throwing a 95-pitch masterpiece

Jacob Ciccone, Mike Reyes and Mike D’Amato each had an RBI. Jason Seliger-Braun, Felix Quinones, Will Beck and D’Amato each scored a run. Reyes (2-for-3) was the lone player to record a multiple-hit game.

During its winning streak, South Brunswick pitchers have combined to allow just one run over 21 innings.

South Plainfield 11, Sayreville 1: The Tigers snapped a three-game losing streak with a mercy-rule win over the Bombers, against who they scored eight runs in the second inning to take a commanding early lead.

Winning pitcher Austin Feltham went the distance, scattering four hits, fanning two, walking one and allowing one earned run over six economical innings during which he threw just 64 pitches.

Mike Stanczak went 2-for-4 with a homer, three RBI and two runs scored. Chris Shine and Niko Vasquez also had two hits apiece, one of which was a double for Vasquez.

TJ Massaro and Mike Marrero each scored twice. South Plainfield collected 12 hits, drew six walks and took advantage of three errors.

Drew Zimmerman went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Kyle Richards doubled and scored Sayreville’s lone run.

Anthony Demeo, who had the game-winning RBI in each of his team’s last two outings, helped the undefeated Patriots win their fifth straight with a triple and a single.

After the Tigers scored twice in the home fourth to trim a four-run deficit in half, Frank Lehmann delivered a clutch two-out, two-run single to rebuild Colonia’s lead.

First baseman Jason Hilenski went 3-for-4 for Colonia, while teammate Lou Matten, the No. 8 hitter, collected a pair of opposite-field singles.

Winning pitcher Nick Nielsen fanned five and scattered seven hits over six innings. Connor Adams had two hits for South Plainfield (2-3), which dropped its third straight.

After opening the season with a White Division sweep of vastly improved J.F. Kennedy, the Tigers dropped a 13-3 decision to East Brunswick, against which South Plainfield pitchers allowed 16 hits. Bill Keane (seven innings) and Rob Gonzalez (seven innings) were stellar on the mound against the Mustangs, combining for 21 strikeouts, five hits allowed and two free passes issued. South Plainfield opens the week with a White Division series against Colonia.

An walk-off run from Frank Lehmann gave Colonia a 1-0 extra innings victory over South Plainfield in Colonia.

Chris Michael kept South Plainfield's hitters at bay for seven and 1/3 inning, striking out eight and walking one while conceding two hits. Nick Nielson picked up the win in relief by striking out two in the eighth inning.

Anthony Palmisano tallied two doubles for Colonia, while Anthony Demo recorded a single.
South Plainfield's Chris Shine struck out six and walked two while conceding two hits and one earned run in seven innings. Rob Gonzalez and Michael Marrero picked up a hit each for the visiting team.

Anthony Demeo delivered the game-winning RBI for the second consecutive contest, this one a walk-off one-out single to right field that snapped a scoreless deadlock and enabled the undefeated Patriots to win their fourth straight.

Nick Nielsen earned the win in relief of starter Chris Michael, who fanned eight and allowed just two hits while throwing 111 pitches over seven and a third innings. Nielsen entered in the top of the eighth with a runner on second and one away. He fanned the only two batters he faced to preserve the shutout.

Chris Shine had a stellar outing on the mound for the Tigers (2-2), who dropped their second straight. Colonia mustered just three hits.
