South Plainfield 6, Middlesex 2
Michael Stanczak went 2-for-4 with his
second two-home run game of the season.
Stanczak's first blast tied the game in the fourth and his other
round-tripper put the contest away in the seventh.
Chris Born’s RBI single, which plated a runner who reached on an error,
enabled South Plainfield to take a 3-2 lead in the sixth.
Middlesex (13-2), which received an RBI from Jarrett May, had its winning
streak snapped at 13 games.
Austin Feltham (four innings) and Brody Donovan (three frames) combined on
an eight-hitter for the resurgent Tigers (8-7), who have won four straight. The
duo combined to fan five and walk three while allowing one earned run.
Connor Adams went 3-for-4 for South Plainfield, while teammate Rob Gonzalez
doubled twice. Ashwin deGroot doubled and scored two runs for the Tigers.
Michael Marrero contributed a double and a run scored to the win.
Jared Venutolo and Ryan Vollmer each went 2-for-3 for the Blue Jays.

Michael Stanczak hit a three-run homer in the seventh inning and finished with two home runs and three RBI as South Plainfield earned a 6-2 win against Middlesex in Middlesex.
Connor Adams went 3-for-4, while Rob Gonzalez added two doubles for South Plainfield, which scored the final six runs of the game.
Michael Marrero, Chris Shine, Billy Keane and Ashwin deGroot scored one run apiece.
