The Tigers won their third straight and
completed a series sweep of the Chiefs, who scored five runs in the seventh
inning to make the outcome interesting.
Piscataway was outhit 12-10 and benefited from five South Plainfield
errors. The Tigers scored four runs in the first and three more runs in the
third to build a 7-2 lead.
Connor Adams, Chris Shine and Ashwin DeGroot had two hits apiece for South
Plainfield. Mike Stanczak, Billy Keane, Adams and Shine each had an RBI. Chris
Born plated two runs. The Tigers stranded 10 runners.
Ro Morris and Jordan Brown each had two hits for the Chiefs. Six teammates
had one hit apiece.

Chris Shine and Connor Adams had two hits, one run and one RBI each for South Plainfield, which built a 4-0 lead after the first inning.
Jordan Brown and Roldan Morris both went 2-for-3 with two runs for Piscataway.
