Jordan Hamberg homered and drove in five runs as South Plainfield won a 14-13 slugfest over Johnson in South Plainfield.

The two teams combined to use seven different pitchers in the contest and was actually outhit 15-7 by Johnson.

South Plainfield (10-6) got additional power from TJ Massaro, who tripled, and Michael Marrero and Chris Shine, who doubled. Jordan Hamberg went 2-for-3.

Saul Lopez had three hits, including a triple and Max Carmino also had three hits for Johnson (8-6).

Jordan Hamberg finished with a home run, five RBI and one run scored for South Plainfield (10-6). Chris Born went 2-for-3 with one RBI and two runs scored. Michael Marrero doubled, scored four runs and had one RBI. TJ Massaro tripled and scored twice. Chris Shine doubled, scored a run and had one RBI. Cooper Smith finished with one RBI and scored a run. Ryan Frontz and Brandon Shine scored.
