Greater Middlesex Conference Pitcher & Hitter of the Week for April 25-May 1

Hitter: Michael DeSantis, South River, Sr.

DeSantis, who is both a pitcher and a catcher for the Rams, batted a blazing .643 last week with nine hits in 14 at-bats. DeSantis, who also played quarterback during the football season, scored six runs and drove in three. For the season, DeSantis has 20 hits and eight runs batted in.
 
Pitcher: Jordan Hamberg, South Plainfield, Jr.

Hamberg improved his record to 4-1 with a seven-inning perfect game in a 5-0 win over Woodbridge last Saturday. Hamberg needed only 81 pitches to blank the Barron. Hamberg recorded 13 strikeouts.
