Senior right-hander Alex Taylor went the distance, fanning 10 and yielding one hit to lead the 16th-seeded North Brunswick High School baseball team to a stunning 3-0 upset Monday of top-seeded and two-time defending champion St. Joseph in the Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament.
The Raiders (11-11) advanced to Wednesday’s quarterfinals, which will be played at North Brunswick’s Community Park. They will host eighth-seeded Old Bridge, a 7-3 winner over South Amboy.
“”Alex is a tremendous competitor. He had an unbelievable game last year against J.F.
