The Tigers (17-1) got a two-run homer by junior center fielder Brandon Downes in the first inning. Downes reached base in all four at-bats with two walks and a single. Senior shortstop Mark Benak went 3-for-4 with two singles and a two-run homer in the sixth. Sophomore catcher Steven Petriello went 2-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs. Dan Hansen (6-0) went five innings, struck out one and allowed four hits.
