Mike Pirrotta went 2-for-3 with two RBI when Freehold Township defeated South Plainfield, 6-3, in South Plainfield.
Joe Silvestrone went 2-for-2 with two runs for Freehold Township, which led 4-2 after three innings. Pirrotta allowed just two hits and two earned runs over six innings, striking out two and walking three.
Tommy Dunn went 2-for-3 with two RBI for South Plainfield.

Tommy Dunn went 2-for-3 with two RBI for the Tigers, while teammates LJ Scarpitto and Xavier Wilson each had a hit and a plated a run.
Losing pitcher Vincent Pellgerino scattered six hits and walked two over four and a third innings. He allowed four runs, three of which were earned.
South Plainfield scored single runs in the first, second and seventh innings.
