Austin Markowski homered and drove in four runs to help Somerville defeat South Plainfield, 9-4, in South Plainfield.
Kellen Hardy went 3-for-4 and Tommy Scharnikow scored three runs for Somerville.
Bryan Gillen and Jack Gillis combined for four of South Plainfield's seven hits.

Somerville 9, South Plainfield 4: Austin Markowski went 2-for-3 with four RBI, a homer and two runs scored for Somerville (2-0). Kellen Hardy went 2-for-4 with a run scored and a double.Alex Antonelli pitched five innings to earn the win. He also had a hit as did six of his teammates. Bryan Gillen and Jake Gillis had two hits and and a run scored for South Plainfield (0-2).
