South Plainfield has no trouble against Sayreville
By MaxPreps
South Plainfield got themselves on the board against Sayreville on Tuesday, but Sayreville never followed suit. Everything went their way against the Sayreville Bombers as they made off with an 11-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as South Plainfield also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2023.
South Plainfield has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3-1 record this season. As for Sayreville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Plainfield will face off against Christian Brothers Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Christian Brothers Academy: 3.1, South Plainfield: 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Sayreville, they will head out on the road to take on Old Bridge at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Old Bridge's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Sayreville's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
